Miso no Kaneko Ramen Shop PDF Print E-mail

Miso no Kaneko Ramen ShopToday I made my way out to "Miso no Kaneko". I decided to try the Shio Ramen, That is a salt based soup. Again I was very pleased with the flavor. Nori, Sliced Pork, White Onion, Menma (Fermented Bamboo Shoots), and Soft boiled Egg. One thing I noticed about the Shio Ramen was that it was very light. The taste was not so strong that it would fill you up so fast. I definetly recommend trying Shio Ramen if you get a chance.

Menma (Fermented Bamboo Shoots) - the thing about this is that it has a strong flavor. When I first came to Japan I could not eat them. So if your not sure if you will like them, I would suggest requesting your Ramen without. However, at some point you should give them a try. For the final touches, ofcourse I had to order Gyoza with my Shio Ramen.. :)

Matsuichiya Ramen Shop PDF Print E-mail

Matsuichiya Ramen ShopRamen by far is one of my favorite foods to eat here in Japan. The other day we were out exploring and came accross a nice little Ramen Shop in Chigasaki. "Matsuichiya Ramen" convieniently located near the train station. I chose Tonkotsu Ramen, a pork based soup. it was very tasty and very filling.

One thing about this shop is that you get a ticket for your ramen by a vending machine located just as you come in the door. So if you know anyone who speak Japanese, be sure to bring them along with you. One great addition to your meal when eating Ramen, an order of Gyoza. Can't ever go wrong with an order of Gyoza.
